Activities

At the heart of the FBTC consulting approach is a focus on delivering long-term sustainable improvements to its clients’ all stakeholders. FBTC consultants work alongside client senior teams, to help them set direction and analyze their current performance, identify gaps and then put in place a change effort that will close those gaps.

Designing new strategies, processes or organizations is not where it stops. For FBTC , this is only the beginning. Implementing those designs so that they become embedded as the new way of doing “business as usual” is what matters. FBTC focuses on helping companies achieve those goals.

Organizations are unique and so are their aspirations. However, FBTC have found the transformation framework of direction, process, technology and people constantly helpful in identifying the focus for change.

Direction

Addresses the issues of strategy formulation -defining the goals towards which organizations will strive- and then enabling top teams to lead their companies towards those goals. Typically this involves:

  • Strategic Planning
  • Rebuilding Market Position
  • Vision Development
  • Objectives and Measures
  • Business Modeling
  • Top Team Development
  • Leadership Style
  • Aligning Executive Teams

Processes

Are the things that make it all happen. Cutting across functions, delivering value into the Marketplace. They must be robust –they have to be seamless. They are made possible by addressing:

  • Process Definition
  • Process Improvement
  • Business Process Re-engineering
  • Process Metrics

People

Are, when all is said and done, what makes it happen – or not. Engaging the hearts and minds of the people is the first milestone along the path to success; and the most difficult. It is helped by reviewing:

  • Organization Design
  • Skills and Competencies
  • Job Design
  • Values and Behaviors
  • Performance Management

Change Management

Whilst change itself always carries with it uncertainty, the process of change should be one, like any other process, which is governed by clear rules, protocols and approaches. FBTC has developed a generic model for change for this exact purpose, with the supporting tools and techniques, which can be adapted for each situation and context.

Program Management

Projects and programs are very different things. Whilst project management refers to the mechanistic elements of milestone and activity planning, the program management for a transformation endeavor is far more all encompassing. FBTC’s approach to program management recognizes nine critical elements which all need to be in place if an integrated change initiative is to meet its stated goals.
